How to make grilled chicken Satay standard Thai

The satay grilled chicken appeals to diners by the fragrant grilled chicken, marinated with the most special Thai spices, making the dish have a very unique taste.

Ingredients for grilled chicken satay Thai style

  • 10-12 pieces of chicken breast meat (Cut into strips about 5cm wide, about 10 – 12cm long, about 1cm thick)
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    1/2 teaspoon fennel powder
    1 teaspoon coriander powder
    1/2 teaspoon chili sauce
    Lemon juice
    Salt
    1 tablespoon peanut oil

    Implementation steps

    Step 1: Marinate the chicken

    Mix soy sauce, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dill powder, chili (if you like spicy), lemon juice and salt in a large bowl to marinate the chicken. If you like to eat sweet, you can add 1 tablespoon brown sugar and one tablespoon peanut sauce to fragrant meat, smell better.
    Wash each piece of chicken, drain it and put it all in a ziplock bag or Ziploc.

  • Pour the mixed sauce into the chicken bag and zip it, shake the chicken to mix well with the sauce.
    Leave the bag of chicken marinated in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or longer to soak the spices.

  • 2 teaspoons of crushed peanuts, 70ml of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of tamarind powder mixed with 4 tablespoons of water, 250 ml of water, 1 teaspoon of sugar, a little salt. Mix these ingredients together except peanuts and vegetable oils, take 6-8 dried chili in hot water, 1 garlic, 4 lemon leaves, 1 small turmeric, 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro, 1 teaspoon of dill is shredded. Preliminarily clean the spices, then chopped and mixed together.

Step 3: Grilled chicken

Pre-soak the bamboo sticks to skew the meat in cold water, this will prevent the bamboo stick from burning when baking. Then take the chicken out from the refrigerator, and skew the bamboo sticks vertically to prepare it for baking.

  • Preheat oven or grill over medium heat. Bake each side of chicken skewer for 10-12 minutes, then turn the other side over until the chicken is golden brown.

    Chicken satay is usually dipped with a spicy, fatty, creamy satay sauce. If you can’t eat spicy, you can use grilled chicken skewers with peanut butter sauce
